Christian Chair-Assisted Yoga
10-11:15 Tuesday Mornings in the Fellowship Hall
Join Kim for an experiment in a truly Christian yoga class, framed by the Iona Community Celtic prayer tradition and grounded on the “peace that passeth all understanding”.  Excellent class for those who would have trouble getting down on the floor and back up. No experience necessary, just a willing heart; this is a beginner or “gentle” yoga class.

Qigong (chee-kung) for Freer Movement and Better Balance
10-11:15 Thursday Mornings in the Fellowship Hall
Kim teaches a form of qigong (a slow, flowing, mindful exercise done to quiet music) that builds muscle for better gaiting and balance.  The practice also helps stabilize emotional moods.  You’ll find this movement can be done from a chair or standing.  No experience necessary.

Mat-Based Hatha Yoga Class
10-11:15 Wednesday Mornings in the Fellowship Hall
For those students ready for a classical Hatha yoga practice, this class will include elements of posture practice, breath work and deep relaxation.  There is no experience necessary for this class, but you should bring your own mat and be able to get down to the floor and back up without assistance. Kim emphasizes the mindful work of Yoga, and all the poses will be done with a sense in inner exploration and compassion for our bodies.  Christian approaches to a traditional Hatha Practice will be frequently explored.

Centering Prayer in the Chapel
Join Kim Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30 for a period of silent meditation in the chapel No experience necessary—just a desire for half an hour of silence in the company of others.
