Is it a success when
we pick a perfect tomato,
the skin the tangible blend of hue
and texture, the taste
sweet, red sugar?
Is it a failure when a leaf
of the same color falls,
drifts over into a puddle,
sinks in mud?
Is it we who unfold
the warrior pose,
the child pose,
the aching silence of
