The Non-Dual Matthew-- 7:3-5

7:3-5

Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘let me take the speck out of your eye’, when there is a log in your own eye?  You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.’

What side of your brain do you close off
when,
one-eyed,
you
view the universe?
The judging, rational, verbal side or
the intuitive, sensate, global side?

Are we not better,
two-eyed,
two-brained,
discerning and feeling,
wisdom and compassion
dancing?

I would not have a one-eyed surgeon
wield a scalpel—
such a thing, even well meaning,
will end
in

disaster.
